There are some couples you photograph once and never forget and then there are couples like Mia and Ben, where you get to be part of multiple seasons of their story. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to photograph Mia’s mission pictures, and now I get to capture her wedding season too. It truly feels like such an honor to document these milestones for such sweet people.
For their engagement session, we headed to Little Dell Reservoir on the most perfect spring evening. The weather was calm, the mountains were still covered with a little snow, and everything had that soft green spring glow that makes Utah engagement photos so dreamy this time of year.
Utah Spring Engagement Photos at Little Dell Reservoir
Little Dell Reservoir is one of my favorite locations for engagement sessions near Salt Lake City. Between the water, mountain views, open fields, and soft light, it photographs beautifully in every season, but spring might honestly be my favorite. Everything feels fresh and romantic, and Mia and Ben fit the scenery perfectly.
These two were so natural together the entire session. The way Ben looks at Mia and the way they make each other laugh made photographing them effortless. You can immediately tell how excited they are to start this next chapter together.
Counting Down to Their Wedding Day
Getting to photograph couples through different seasons of life is one of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer. From Mia’s mission photos years ago to now documenting her engagement season with Ben, it feels incredibly special to be trusted with these memories.
I already know their wedding day is going to be beautiful, and I cannot wait to celebrate alongside them.
