Ashlan and Frank’s Zion destination wedding at Zion Red Rock Venue was one of the most beautiful and intentional wedding days I’ve ever been a part of. Set just outside Zion National Park, this incredible red rock estate offers sweeping canyon views and the perfect setting for a large, elevated destination celebration.
From the garden inspired design to the emotional moments shared with family and friends who traveled from all over, every part of their wedding felt meaningful, romantic, and unforgettable.
A Garden Inspired Destination Wedding in Zion
Ashlan and Frank envisioned a garden themed wedding that blended seamlessly with the dramatic red rock landscape surrounding Zion Red Rock Venue. The contrast of soft florals against the towering canyon backdrop created a setting that felt both refined and naturally breathtaking.
Poppy Lane Events handled the planning and florals and executed every detail flawlessly. From the design to the timeline, everything felt intentional and cohesive allowing Ashlan and Frank to truly enjoy their day surrounded by the people they love most.
Instrumental Taylor Swift Music & Live Violin
One of the most unique and personal details of the day was the music. Ashlan curated instrumental Taylor Swift songs to play throughout the day a detail that felt romantic, nostalgic, and deeply personal.
She even flew out Ana Done to perform live violin versions of Taylor Swift music, which elevated the entire experience. Hearing live violin echo through the red rock canyon was incredibly moving and made the ceremony and reception feel truly one of a kind.
A Rainy Zion Wedding Day That Turned Perfect
The day brought unexpected rain, and their ceremony had to be delayed but it ended up being absolutely perfect. The rain cleared just in time, leaving behind soft light, fresh air, and dramatic clouds that made the canyon views even more stunning.
Zion has a way of turning unexpected moments into magic, and Ashlan and Frank embraced it all with grace and joy.
Two Wedding Dresses for Ceremony & Reception
Ashlan wore two wedding dresses — one for the ceremony and one for the reception — each perfectly suited for the moment. Her ceremony gown felt timeless and romantic, while her reception dress allowed her to celebrate freely and fully once the party began.
Every detail of her bridal look complemented the garden design and elevated destination feel of the day.
Celebrating with Family & Friends Who Traveled to Utah
Ashlan and Frank’s wedding brought together family and friends who flew into Utah to celebrate with them. The weekend felt like more than just a wedding, it was a shared experience, a gathering, and a true destination celebration surrounded by Zion’s iconic landscape.
Zion National Park Bridal Portraits the Next Day
The celebration didn’t end on the wedding day. The following day, we headed into Zion National Park for bridal portraits. A quiet, intimate way to soak in the beauty of the area and capture stunning images without the rush of a wedding timeline.
These portraits were the perfect way to close out their wedding weekend and fully document their love in one of the most iconic landscapes in the world.
A Wedding I’ll Never Forget
Ashlan and Frank’s wedding was emotional, beautifully designed, and deeply intentional . A day that will stay with me forever. From the live violin music to the rain clearing just in time, every moment felt meaningful and magical.
